A downloadable fan translation

4 Seasons, 4 Girls!! (also known as 4 seasons , 4 girls !! by the original creator) is a mixture of slice of life and yandere horror. The VN features a guy who just entered high school being invited into a new club his friend made: The One Good Deed a Day Commission. They also recruit his other childhood friend, along with an upperclassman and a junior high school student. Initially slice of life, things start to get spooky...

Some other information about this VN:

  • It takes around 1 to 1 and a half hours to finish completely.
  • All four girls are fully voiced. One of them (Hohoro) is voiced by the original creator of the VN.
  • I changed the color of the text from a dark purple to a dark orange. The lack of contrast makes the text hard to read otherwise.
  • I've kept the honorifics and Eastern name order for spoken dialogue. Narration drops the honorifics and uses Western name order.
  • This VN has multiple acts of bloody violence, along with some elements of swearing.

Since this is a TyranoBuilder VN that uses the app.asar file, you'll need to use xDelta to apply the patch. I have provided two different types of patches due to some slight structural differences between the versions provided on Freem and Novelgame. Both patches should result in the same patched app.asar.

Install instructions

  1. You need the free software xDelta to apply this patch. Get a copy from here: https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/598/
  2. Acquire a copy of the JP version from here: https://novelgame.jp/games/show/8288 or here: https://www.freem.ne.jp/win/game/31020
  3. I have provided two types of patches: One for the Freem version of the VN, and one for the Novelgame version. Choose the patch that matches where you downloaded the VN.
  4. Generate a patched app.asar by putting the following settings into xDelta:
    1. Patch: The patch you downloaded.
    2. Source File: The app.asar file located in {VN_location}/resources/
    3. Output File: The location of where the program should place the patched app.asar
  5. Replace the app.asar file in {VN_location}/resources/ with the patched app.asar file.
  6. Play.

I am. I did my translation pass up to the start of the 3rd chapter at this time of writing, actually.
There are a TON of cameo appearances in it. Pretty much anyone in a work Charon made in 2017 or earlier shows up for at least a few minutes. When I release my patch, I'm planning to compile a list of all the works referenced.
